At the Foot of Lee Avenue and Alfresco Lawn (here is a map link), located in the covered structure we are calling The Yoga Hut right next to the boardwalk in front of the Lighthouse looking at the water. Depending on weather and other groups that may be there, we will also be practising outside The Yoga Hut on the grass lawn. Both are splendid. For better or for worse, the weather is suppose to be above normal temperatures all summer long.

To Register: A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required. Full payment must be made by May 19th, 2010. Payment can be made by cash or cheque payable to Julia Ray. Upon registration you will receive a confirmation email.

Things to Bring: Beach Towel, Yoga Mat, Dry-Fit Layer to Stay Warm, Extra Fleece Layer for Meditation/Savasana, Water, Small Towel including 4 medium sized rocks to keep your Towel/Mat down in case it's windy that day.

Specialized Workshops

Yoga Vibe offers Specialized Yoga Workshops for Athletic Teams, Colleges, Organizations, Schools, Boys/Girls Scouts, Teens, Seniors ... our mission it to bring the practise of Yoga to you. Workshops include a free Consultation to discuss your group's specific needs. An 8-week Yoga Program will be designed based on the requirements of your group. Workshop Fee is $100 per 75-minute session (for up to 12 participants/group). Contact us for more information or to schedule a Consultation.

Hatha Yoga I: For beginners, is a great introduction to the world of hatha yoga. Explore the fundamentals of sun salutations, standing poses, hip-opener poses, seated poses, twists, back bends and basic inversions. Learn to link movements through breathing exercises, and gain flexibility, strength, balance and relaxation. Perfect for those who are new to yoga or who are seeking a refresher on the basics of alignment and the vinyasa flow.

Core Yoga I: For beginners, go on a physical and mental journey into the very core of your being. Learn how to breathe deeply and hold poses for an extended period of time in order to awaken and enliven your core. Create heightened awareness through vigorous and mindful practice while challenging every muscle in your body. Perfect for those interested in building their core strength and who enjoy being physically challenged.

Hatha Yoga II: A more vigorous class with a faster pace, more intense and challenging poses, full-flowing Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) A and B with Chatarunga and Upward-facing Dog, are practiced in Yoga II. Strength-building standing poses are combined in creative vinyasa sequences. Deeper backbends, more complex balancing poses, and inversions are practiced. A strong foundation in the basics is encouraged.
